Frequently Asked Questions

What is the general process?

First, you’ll choose a date for a consultation with our technician. The meeting will take place via Microsoft Teams, where everything will be discussed and explained, including a secondary date for your needs if any further information is needed. Once you’ve booked your appointment, we ask you to check your email inbox, including the spam folder.

I’m interested in the Mix and Master Package. What are the requirements?

Ideally, all tracks should be ready for mastering. You should export your track in .WAV format with 24-bit at 44.1 kHz. The flat rate includes a maximum number of tracks and a maximum length of a song. Further details will be discussed during the aforementioned consultation meeting. If you’ve recorded all the tracks but have no means of editing, we can create a custom quote to edit your tracks and create a master.

I’m interested in the Mix and Master Package. How do I upload the files?

Once we’ve agreed on a common path, we will provide you with an upload link where you can upload your project as discussed.

I booked one of your packages, but I’m not satisfied with the result.

Our engineer will send you various samples during the editing process in accordance to your  given assignment. This allows you to make decisions and provide feedback at any time. Once you receive the final version, if you’re not satisfied, you can request a complaint. Any further complaints will be invoiced.

I’m interested in the Mix and Master Package. How should I export files from my DAW?

All individual tracks should be exported in .WAV format at 24-bit and 44.1 kHz. The individual tracks should be renamed to clearly indicate the instrument/vocals. For example:

– Guitar DI, left

– Vocal Refrain Max Mustermann

More detailed information will be clarified during the consultation. If you only want to export the finished edited stereo track for mastering, it should also be in .WAV format at 24-bit and 44.1 kHz.

What are the costs for mastering/stem-mastering my song?

A simple mastering costs €80, coverring two stems. Each additional stem costs €30.00. We limit the number of stems to five. Therefore, stem mastering costs a maximum of €170. Anything beyond this will be discussed in an individual conversation.

What are the costs for a complete production of a song?

A stay in our studio (for example) eight hours costs €320.00. Additionaly, we also account the time required for mixing and mastering, as well as any necessary post-production steps as varying factors to be included in your quote. Generally, we charge €40 per hour for this. Time estimations solely depend on the complexity of the project, which will be clarified during consultation and your given quote.
