Alternative Vibes is an initiative by Pits-Burg that aims to give bands and artists from the alternative music scene (metal, hardcore, punk, rock and alike) greater visibility. We do this by developing or reimagined charting model that does not rely on sales figures, but instead focuses on social engagement, reach and metrics alike.
2. Why does “Alternative Vibes” not focus on sales figures?
We want to make the music scene fairer and more accessible. Sales figures and monetary interests often exclude emerging or independent artists. Our goal is to measure relevance and popularity through engagement and social interactions, thereby giving all bands a fair chance.
3. How can fans suggest their favourite bands?
As a fan, you can simply submit a Spotify artist link to us. We will review your suggestion and add the band or artist to our system.
4. How can bands participate in Alternative Vibes?
Bands can apply via our form on our website. The process is straightforward and ensures that we receive all relevant information directly.
5. Which genres are supported?
We focus on the alternative music scene. This includes the genres of metal, hardcore, punk, rock and similar styles.
6. How often are the charts updated?
The charts are updated regularly to ensure that all data is up to date and that newcomers quickly gain visibility.
7. Can I suggest bands multiple times as a fan?
Yes, you can submit several Spotify artist links. Please ensure that the bands fall within the genres we promote (metal, hardcore, punk, rock, etc.).
8. What happens if my band is accepted?
Due to the high number of requests, if your band is included in the programme, you will not receive a confirmation but will be automatically added to our system. Your band will then be listed as an artist in the charts.
9. What about data protection?

10. Is it really free of charge?
